As part of its 2023 model year facelift, the e-tron will transition to the Q8 model line as the Q8 e-tron. The 2023 Q8 e-tron sports a 95.0-kWh lithium ion battery with an EPA-rated driving range of 226 miles. The Q8 e-tron’s charging time is one of the fastest on the market, as the vehicle can charge at a rate up to 11 kW from a Level 2 charger and 150 kW from a DC fast charger.
The 2024 model year brings further changes as the Q8 e-tron gains an increased battery capacity of 106 kWh, resulting in an expected range of over 300 miles. Charging that larger battery will be even quicker as the new model year gains 170 kW DC fast charging.
The Q8 e-tron’s large battery means e-tron drivers benefit highly from a powerful Level 2 charging station at home. With a Level 2 EV charger like the JuiceBox® 48, the e-tron SUV battery will take around 10.5 hours.
