Production of the Clarity EV continued until 2019 while the Clarity PHEV soldiered on through 2021.
The Honda Clarity Electric has a 25.5 kWh battery with an approximate range of 89 miles (143 km). The Clarity Electric Plug-In Hybrid has a 17 kWh battery providing an all-electric range of 47 miles (76 km), at which point the hybrid drivetrain begins to work in tandem with the gas generator for a total hybrid range of 340 miles (550 km).
For the US market, the Clarity Electric and Plug-In Hybrid are equipped with SAE J1772-2009 (Type 1) receptacle for 120-240 V Level 1 and 2 AC charging. Charging rates for the Honda Clarity are listed in the chart below.

DC fast charging: CCS Combo
The Honda Clarity Electric has a DC fast charge option, and charges at a rate of up to 55 kW. The Clarity Electric uses the SAE Combined Charging Connector (CCS) for Level 3 DC fast charge. The DC Fast Charging enables your Honda Clarity Electric to charge to about 80% capacity in 30 minutes, adding around 70 miles. The Clarity Plug-In Hybrid model doesn't come with a DC fast charging option.
The Clarity PHEV that was released in Japan in 2018 used a CHAdeMO DC fast charging connector, similarly providing an 80% battery charge in roughly 30 minutes.
