Enel announced that it would acquire a California-based eMotorWerks, a supplier of JuiceBox electric vehicle charging stations and JuiceNet software platform which allows electric vehicle charging facilities to be remotely controlled and aggregated for grid-balancing purposes.

Enel is interested in developing new infrastructure solutions for electric vehicles as they may potentially become the grid's largest flexible resource and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. eMotorWerks cloud-based solution helps minimize emissions and increase the use of clean renewable energy sources.
